What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser Hair Removal is a safe light-based technology that uses pulses of light energy to penetrate the skin and specifically target and destroy unwanted hair follicles. It is a noninvasive method of permanently reducing unwanted hair that is generally comfortable for most. It is safe enough to be used on any part of the body: Face, Underarms, Legs, Arms, Chest, Bikini Line, and Back

Lasers target pigment in the hair follicles, and hair grows in three different stages. Only hair in the anagen (or growth phase) can be affected by light energy. Also, hair located on different parts of the body have different growth cycles. This is why a series of treatments over a period of time – usually 4 to 8 weeks apart – is recommended to address the varying growth cycle of the hair.

Individual results may vary. In clinical trials, up to 20% of the population may not respond to any laser or light therapy.
